According to Chairwoman Rachel Cherrison "As a service-oriented non-profit organization it was important to us to honor service members from police, fire, retired service and military who consistently go above and beyond in their communities. The money raised benefits our Leadership Training Institute which teaches leadership, problem solving, communication and conflict resolution to youth and adults through multiple service venues all around Southern California". The golf tournament includes raffle prizes, box lunch, games, silent/live auction, Hole in One and putting contests and more.
Each community has been offered the chance to submit items for the goody bags of their player representing that city. This prizes range from fresh baked cookies, to one hour massage certificates. If cities are unable to participate this year, please contact the charity to get on the sign-up sheet for next year. And, sponsorships and donations are being accepted for this year's event until 1/25/13.
