One of the UK's leading children's charities, Educating the Children, which works to raise awareness of children's issues in Africa, will now benefit from the support and backing of Alchemy Viral.

Alchemy Viral is based in Richmond, Surrey, and is one of the UK's leading Web Optimisation providers. The SEO traffic agency will support the work of Educating the Children as it highlights the plight of children's education and other issues in the Masai Mara, Kenya.

Among the main areas of focus for Educating the Children are Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and enforced childhood marriages which are common to the Masai Mara.

The Masai Mara has long been known as a destination for luxury wildlife holidays but its people have also long been neglected and abused. Educating the Children was founded when one of the organization's founders visited the Masai Mara and was shocked to find poor school conditions, too few teachers and very low education levels.

The charity also works to highlight issues like FGM and enforced childhood marriages - for girls as young as 8 - in the region. Alchemy Viral Managing Director Andreas Voniatis has committed his company's support to ETC to help the charity engage in projects like building a new secondary school for girls in Masai Mara.

"I have great sympathy with the aims of ETC. My daughter is just 3 months old. Like every parent in every country I have high hopes for her. I can't imagine her being denied an education, or even worse being a victim of enforced marriage or FGM", commented Andreas Voniatis. "I want to spread the word about the charity's work. We will be quite overt in our support of ETC to all of the people we communicate with, be it by email, our website, or corporate activities. We are also supporting the charity with what we do best... raising their profile on the web. We have already created a Facebook page for the charity and added a link to our Facebook page. We are Tweeting regularly about ETC and teaching them also the importance of regular publishing and how to earn coverage across the web".

Sonal Kadchha, co-founder of ETC, commented on the backing of Alchemy Viral: "I'm very pleased that Andreas has come on board to support ETC - not only is he contributing financially but his help in increasing our online presence is invaluable given the importance of social media in the world today".

Andreas Voniatis will travel to Masai Mara this year to see Educating the Children's work for himself. Educating the Children has said 'thank you' to Alchemy Viral by naming one of the new school's classrooms for Andreas' daughter, Julia.
