The Escape is completely redesigned for the 2013 model year, and combines a bold, sporty exterior with an elegant interior. The 2013 Ford Escape is powered by a standard 2.5-liter Duratec four-cylinder the generates 168 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque while returning 31 mpg highway, but Ford estimates that this standard engine will only account for 10 percent of sales. This is due to the revolutionary EcoBoost technology pioneered by Ford.

Two EcoBoost engines are available in the 2013 Ford Escape. The 1.6-liter EcoBoost delivers best-in-class fuel economy by returning 33 mpg highway and it does so without sacrificing performance. The 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine is able to produce 178 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. For even more impressive performance, drivers can opt for the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that generates 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. Once again, EcoBoost technology delivers peace of mind at the gas pump by allowing the 2.0-liter engine to return 30 mpg highway.

Ford also delivers the technology drivers crave in the 2013 Escape. The crossiver is equipped with SYNC with MyFord Touch which allows the driver to control just about everything in the vehicle with just the sound of their voice. From making phone calls and selecting music to controlling the climate of the vehicle, this Escape listens and produces.

The 2013 Ford Escape will also be available with other new technologies including, hands-free liftgate, active park assist to aid in parallel parking, intelligent access with push-button start, BLIS (Blind-Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, a Sony Premium Audio System with HD Radio and advanced navigation.
