Alliance For Competitiveness Could Boost The Marca Espana
Online, March 26, 2013 (Newswire.com) - This group of businesses is made up of representatives of six industrial and business organisations.
The automotive, cement, paper, oil, chemicals and steel sectors, which make up the so-called Alliance for Competitiveness and account for a large part of Spain's GDP, have told the country's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jose Manuel GarcÃa Margallo, that they will work together to promote the Marca España. Another of their objectives is to boost the position of Spanish companies in the European context and global market.
To do this, they have put forward various areas for work, including issues such as the environment, transport, energy, R&D+i and logistics. This "promising initiative", as the various parties have described it, "is yet another sign of how the Spanish economy has in recent years thrown itself into the process of internationalisation, which is fundamental when it comes to competing in the global economy."
GarcÃa Margallo said the talks with the Alliance for Competitiveness were "yet another step forwards in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation's economic diplomacy strategy", in which collaboration and dialogue with the different business organisations is fundamental in order to increase the effectiveness of Spanish businesses in the global market".
Along with the Marca España Board, to fulfill its mission, the government has made different instruments available via the High Commissioner and its office.
The current Marca España Portal: It has been designed as a "website of websites" and it also has its own content consisting of numerous links to a large number of organisations participating in the Marca España project. The website will be constantly revised and updated.
Partnership agreements: Marca España is seeking to sign three partnership agreements in this early phase:
With the Forum of Leading Brands. Through the Forum, partnership agreements can be signed so that public and private organizations can have a predefined framework for cooperation. At the same time, private sponsorships for certain Marca España activities can be channelled through the Forum.
With Agencia EFE. One of the goals of this agreement will be to create an information feed on Marca España in this agency.
