ALTERCARE OF MENTOR CENTER MEDICAL DIRECTOR RECEIVES DISTINGUISHED MEDICAL DIRECTOR AWARD

Online, August 25, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Dr. John Baniewicz, Medical Director for Altercare of Mentor Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care, has received the "Distinguished Medical Director Award" for 2009. The award was presented by five local Cleveland Clinic hospitals, including Euclid, Hillcrest, Huron, Marymount and Southe Pointe.

The award recognizes outstanding service to long term care facilities from area medical professionals. Altercare of Mentor Center nominated Dr. Baniewicz for the award because of the outstanding care he provides to the facility's residents. Only four physicians in the Cleveland area were selected for this award.

Dr. Baniewicz has served as Medical Director for Altercare of Mentor Center since 2006.
