On April 30, 1PDT/4EDT--Dr. Byron L. Cherry, Sr., CEO & President-Succeed to Lead, Colonel, US Army Retired & Author, shares his leadership journey with the listeners of Altruistic Leadership's Take-A-Lesson broadcast.

Dr Cherry began his military career as a Second Lieutenant in the Finance Corps. His last assignment prior to retiring was Chief, C4/IT Investment Strategy. & Director of Resource Integration-Assistant Chief of Staff.

Dr Cherry is an author. His book Are We Safer Now? Airline Security in a Post-9/11 Society discusses factors that change in passengers' perceptions regarding traveling by air.

He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, a Master's of National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces/ National Defense University, MBA from Troy University and a Bachelor's in Accounting from Norfolk State University.

He was inducted into the Norfolk State University Military Alumni Association Hall of Fame in 2008 and received the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award from Norfolk State University in 2007.
