Altus Dynamics NAV 2013 Financial Management Suite To Replace PeopleSoft At TVO
Canadian-based Microsoft ERP & CRM solutions provider Altus Dynamics announced today that TVO will be implementing its Financial Management solution, based on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 platform.
Online, April 25, 2013 (Newswire.com) - TVO is Ontario's public educational media organization and a trusted source of interactive educational content that informs, inspires and stimulates curiosity and thought. TVO's vision is to empower people to be engaged citizens of Ontario through educational media. In order to support this mission, TVO issued a competitive RFP process in late 2012 for a new financial management system to replace their legacy solution based on Oracle's PeopleSoft.
"For TVO to streamline our business processes and work towards increased efficiencies and improved data insight we needed a new ERP solution that gives us stability, fit and interoperability capabilities across our organization" said Todd Slivinskas, Chief Technology Officer at TVO. "Altus Dynamics' public and non-profit sector expertise combined with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform provides great potential to achieve our operational goals."
Every year Microsoft invest Billions of R&D dollars in the Dynamics platform ensuring the products in the family are at the very cutting edge of business solutions available in the market. The insight gained and the resulting innovations ensure Dynamics' solutions are focused on meeting the needs of real-world users, regardless of their roles in the organization. "With our Microsoft Dynamics NAV based solution TVO found a modern platform which provides out of the box capabilities with minimal customizations. The familiar Microsoft look and feel combined with the role-based user experience will increase adoption rates, and allow TVO staff to get up and running far more quickly. It was exactly the positive benefits TVO were looking for and I'm happy to say our Microsoft Dynamics NAV based solution will provide them." comments James Faw, VP of Product Innovation at Altus Dynamics.
TVO will be implementing Altus' latest release based on the most recent version of Dynamics NAV. In addition to the core Financial elements such as general ledger, AP, AR and Fixed Assets, TVO will also be installing Altus Self-Service Portals with an initial 250 user licences. These Altus Portals will allow non-core financial employees security-defined access to information in order to carry out tasks such as expense or purchasing requests. This employee empowerment will help to further reduce the administrative burden on support staff.
Once fully implemented TVO's new Altus Dynamics solution will provide the foundation for improved business processes and operational efficiencies. "It was reassuring for TVO to know that if they choose to expand the scope of the solution, the extra functionality is there, ready to go." comments Founding Partner of Altus Dynamics, Nicola Dickinson. "We're also delighted to help an organization as renowned and as important in the educational media space as TVO operate more efficiently behind the scenes." adds Dickinson.
