Ambient Supply Chain Costs Biggest Risk Factor Facing Temperature Controlled Logistics Industry
Pharmaceutical temperature controlled supply chain community unveil challenges, priorities and the impact of the ambient supply chain in exclusive infographic
Solihull, United Kingdom, July 21, 2015 (Newswire.com) - TP3 Global recently launched a community wide survey across the life sciences temperature controlled supply chain industry. The aim of this research was to find out more about how the life sciences and logistics industries are coping with increased regulatory and cost pressures whilst maintaining risk and excursion levels, particularly in light of the game changing EU GDP guidelines.
A series of questions covering priorities, risk factors, transportation methods, validation and thermal covers as a solution were posed to the temperature controlled supply chain community. This cross section included pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, freight forwarders and third party logistics providers, in order to better understand the state of the industry, impact of regulatory pressures and the impact of increasing globalisation of supply chains.
It has been revealed that the biggest risk factor facing the industry is the increased overall cost due to ambient supply chain temperature control measures required by the European Medicines Association and all European regulatory authorities.
The headline results have been analysed and published in an infographic, which can be found in theTP3 Global website resource library.
