Amnesty International and Directors Around the Globe Call for "One More Voice" in Compelling New Campaign

Oscar-winners Meryl Streep and Hans Zimmer Contribute to Innovative Collaborative Video Project Led and Produced by Citizen Group

(San Francisco, CA) -- Amnesty International and Citizen Group today launched a compelling new campaign, "One More Voice," featuring an anthem specially written for Amnesty International's 50th anniversary by Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer and composer Lorne Balfe, and narration by three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep. "One More Voice" demonstrates the power of international unity in the fight for justice and freedom that Amnesty International has cultivated in its half century of work defending human rights around the world.

Produced by Citizen Group in San Francisco, "One More Voice" is a collaborative project that features contributions from new and established directors through a special partnership with the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers. Photos depicting the worldwide struggle for human rights were donated for the video by Magnum Photos, courtesy of the Magnum Foundation. Production took place in countries on six continents, including Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Australia, Hong Kong, Kenya, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Hungary, India, Switzerland, Sweden, South Africa and a number of U.S. cities.

"One More Voice" is one of the final commemorative projects in Amnesty International's year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary and will be distributed across digital and social media channels. In addition, a series of :60 and :30 PSAs based on the video project are being distributed to media outlets internationally. Watch the video and PSAs here: http://ht.ly/bhkaP

"The videos and PSAs help capture a moment in time when freedom is breaking out all over the world, and a movement that is connected and committed to human rights for all people," says Citizen Group founder Robin Raj, who served as creative director for the project. "It was a pleasure to collaborate with such a talented international community of filmmakers, both young and established, who each contributed scenes to the project from afar."

Suzanne Nossel, executive director, Amnesty International USA, says: "This video beautifully captures the heart of our movement-individuals all over the world who speak out for the cause of justice and freedom and demand human rights for everyone. From raucous celebrations in city centers to the silent hunger strikes of prisoners in isolation, 'One More Voice' reminds us all that when we unite and come together our voices can help create a more just world."
The campaign is a living testament to people power. "Together we are unstoppable" is the message Meryl Streep delivers as viewers are encouraged to add "One More Voice" in the fight against some of Amnesty International's core issues, including torture, equal rights, the death penalty and violence against women. The contributors aim to inspire a new generation of activists to join Amnesty International's life-saving work.

Citizen Group founder Robin Raj has been working with the world's leading human rights organization on creative projects for more than two decades, most notably on the "Imagine" and "Instant Karma" campaigns, based on the songs of John Lennon, which ran in more than 65 countries.

The "One More Voice" The video and PSAs will be distributed widely on a variety of social media outlets internationally starting today.
