On June 10th, hundreds of cyclists with Bike to the Beach (B2B), the nation’s largest autism advocacy bike ride, are embarking upon either a 100 mile bike ride from Battery Park City to Westhampton Beach, NY or a 60 mile bike ride from Wantagh, NY to Westhampton Beach, NY, to raise money and awareness for autism.

Amrita Bars is proud to form an exclusive nutrition bar sponsorship with Bike to the Beach (B2B) this year. Amrita Bar has a deep connections to Bike to the Beach as a result of Arshad Bahl’s (Founder and CEO) son being diagnosed with autism at 2 years of age. Through aggressive early intervention which included a large focus on gluten-free, dairy-free and minimally processed diet, plus the traditional speech, and applied behavior therapy programs, Arshad and his wife were able to reverse the autism diagnosis over a few years.

Together both Amrita and Bike to the Beach are committed to raising awareness and finding solutions for Autism. With continued dedication, we are closer to ensuring better lives for all those affected by Autism. Nutrition is an integral solution to the recovery process.

ARSHAD BAHL, Founder

Arshad’s son now 12, has hit tremendous milestones and is now in a regular classroom with peers his own age. After seeing the impact this diet had on his son, Arshad saw the potential benefits of clean nutrition for all people. In 2012, he left his corporate job to start  Amrita bars. Now Amrita Bars are in 700 plus stores nationwide (Wegmans, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Smoothie King, etc).

Amrita bars are vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free, GMO-free, cholesterol-free, and preservative-free. They are packed with superfoods such as chia seeds, maca and coconut, and contain between 7g to 15g of vegan protein, 1000mg omega 3’s, and 4g of fiber. They are blended-not baked-to ensure they are highly alkaline.

Bike to the Beach has dedicated itself to bringing awareness and funding toward autism through fierce passion and commitment to the cause. Additionally, Bike to the Beach extends their support and funds to an annually determined charitable cause.  Through all the events across the country, Bike to the Beach encourages a healthy lifestyle and the joining together of a community for a worthy cause.

Together both Amrita and Bike to the Beach are committed to raising awareness and finding solutions for Autism.  With continued dedication, we are closer to ensuring better lives for all those affected by Autism.
