AMW Expands Service Network To 1,500 Touch Points
Online, June 1, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Mumbai: India's third largest heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer Asia MotorWorks (AMW) has expanded its service network to 1,500 touch points across the country. With this vast network AMW is able to offer its customers one service point for every 50kms of national highway. This reflects a strong commitment to customers through increased service and parts coverage across the country.
This will enable customers to increase the productivity of their trucks and reduce turnaround times. The assurance of quick and ready service on all national highways is the one of the many actions that AMW has taken to strengthen its after-market network and offer support to the increasing population of its vehicles on road.
The service outlets offer a range of services that will ensure the vehicle gets back on road quickly and continues its journey, without delay. These outlets will complement AMW's Authorized Service Centres, which are strategically positioned, to handle major repairs and breakdowns.
AMW is planning to further increase its service network in the future to ensure even better coverage for customers. Aside from vehicle repair and service work these outlets also sell spare parts, which add to customer convenience and enhance vehicle up-time, thereby boosting profitability.
The company has seen its sales and market share grow during the past year. For the year ended March 2012, AMW's sales were up by over 50% to 10,000 units, while it also emerged as the second largest player in the Tipper segment of the commercial vehicle market with a 25% share.
