An Exciting New Novel By Rudolph Bader

A new novel published by Rudolph Bader from Sussex

SilverWood Books, a small publisher in Bristol, has just released a new novel written by Rudolph Bader, hitherto an academic writer and a university professor based in East Sussex and in Switzerland. The exciting new novel, entitled The Prison of Perspective, has a very complex structure and works with three different narrative strands which follow the plots of three major characters through the second half of the twentieth century. These seemingly separate stories are connected at certain crucial points, thus creating a multi-layered reading experience that reveals a wealth of insights about life from the austerity of the 1950s through the changing decades up to the present time. Despite its complexity and its philosophical view of the period, the novel is a real pleasure to read, and it touches upon some fundamental themes of the human condition in modern times, such as the impermanence of human relationships, emotional exploitation, sexual awakening and the proximity of death. As one critic has justly observed, the novel even rewards a second reading, there is so much to be discovered in it.

Even prior to its publication, the novel has received international recognition by literary critics.

The author is available for interviews, for public readings, for book-signing events, for seminars and discussions.
He is an experienced public speaker and he is happy to appear in the media and to sit on panels for literary discussions. He is fluent in several languages.

Review copies of The Prison of Perspective can be obtained from the Publisher.
