Angela Booth Launches "Time to Write", a New Writing Guide for Super-Busy Writers

Even for full-time writers, finding time to write is often a challenge. Angela Booth's new "Time to Write" guide helps writers at all stages of their writing careers to find time write, and to become more self-confident and relaxed.

Copywriter, author and writing teacher Angela Booth believes that many professional writing careers are derailed because writers believe that they have "no time." This is rarely true. What happens, Angela says, is that writers' creativity is blocked by the stress of a super-busy life.

In addition to everyday stress Angela says: "All writers experience creative anxiety when they sit down to write. This is normal. Unfortunately, writers interpret this anxiety to mean that they shouldn't write, or that there's something wrong with their ideas. Creative anxiety often manifests itself in procrastination. Writers put off writing, until they have 'more time'. Sadly, that time-rich nirvana never arrives."

Angela's new guide, "Time to Write: Build Your Writing Career Minute by Minute" isn't so much a time management guide, Angela says, as a way for writers to manage themselves and their emotions. She said: "Writers tend to be sensitive, and in tune with their emotions. While their emotions help writers to write with passion and authority, powerful emotions like fear can destroy their ability to write, if they don't learn how to use them."

The primary benefits of learning time and self management skills Angela believes is that it frees writers to enjoy their creativity, and to become more self-confident and relaxed. This means that they become more prolific, even if they have very limited time.

Angela says that after reading "Time to Write" one of her students conquered her procrastination and completed a book she'd been working on for three years. She also started another book, although she is so busy in her job, and looking after her young family, that on most days she only manages to find half an hour to write.

Angela said: "I've had super-busy periods in my own life too. In fact, those periods forced me to discover the tools and strategies to find time to write. When writers manage to find the time they need, their feelings of accomplishment and satisfaction flow out into the rest of their activities. No only are they happier, but so is everyone around them."
