Angels for Animals Foundation to Assist with Cost of Life-Saving Operation for Retired New Jersey Hero K9

Angels for Animals Foundation to honor K9 Aron for his loyal service to the community by helping pay for his life-saving medical expenses

Angels for Animals Foundation is calling on animal lovers everywhere to help pay for the substantial costs of a life-saving splenectomy for K9 Aron, a retired hero police dog in New Jersey.

Two years ago, K9 Aron played a major role in the rescue of a lost 9-year-old autistic boy in East Greenwich, NJ. K9 Aron and Adam Ziegler trudged through the mud where the boy was stuck and with the help of other officers involved in the search, pulled the boy out of the mud before he drowned in Mantua Creek. The Gloucester County Board of Freeholders and the Gloucester County Police Awards Committee presented K9 Aron and Ziegler with a Life Saving Award with Valor.

"K9 Aron served his community with distinction for many years, and this is an opportunity for his community to say thank you," said MarkF. Magazu, II, Founder and Chairman of the Angels for Animals Foundation. "Like many service dogs, K9 Aron's medical bills have reached into the thousands of dollars, and the Guardian Angels K9 Fund needs your help to pay for the advanced, life-saving medical care he needed."

The recently retired Police K9 Aron was diagnosed with several severe medical issues including two large tumors in his abdomen and spleen. The cost for this advanced medical care exceeds $6,000. The Guardian Angels K9 Fund wants to honor Aron for his loyal service to the Township of Deptford, by raising money to cover his medical expenses.

“K9 Aron served his community with distinction for many years, and this is an opportunity for his community to say thank you,” said MarkF. Magazu, II, Founder and Chairman of the Angels for Animals Foundation. “Like many service dogs, K9 Aron’s medical bills have reached into the thousands of dollars, and the Guardian Angels K9 Fund needs your help to pay for the advanced, life-saving medical care he needed.”

The heroic journey of a New Jersey Police K9 named Judge, who was laid to rest in February of 2015, inspired the Angels for Animals Foundation (501c3) to launch the Guardian Angels K9 fund to support medical procedures and treatments exclusively for military and police dogs. The Guardian Angels K9 Fund is designed to help pay the animals back for their service and cover their medical care bills, including end of life procedures.

To donate to the Fund, simply text the word “Aron” to the number 41444, followed by a space and then the amount you would like to donate. Donations can also be made online at bemyangel.com/K9Aron
