About MusiCares: "MusiCares provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. MusiCares' services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality. MusiCares also focuses the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community." (from http://www.musicares.org/)

About the Scoggins Family: Chance and Jennifer Scoggins and their two tiny girls Jalen and Emmery are residents of the Nashville area. Chance is a professional musician, Jennifer a stay-at-home mom. With approximately $40,000 worth of repairs to make, the Scoggins' do not qualify for conventional financial assistance from FEMA or other charitable organizations for various reasons. In addition, like most other families in Tennessee, they had no flood insurance. The music industry in Nashville was already weakened because of the economy; now it's nearly devastated because of this disaster. As a result, "Angels Over Nashville" chose to adopt this family to receive direct proceeds from this event.
