He finished residency at Veteran's Administrative Medical Center in Boston, and completed a fellowship at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute of Rehabilitation. An expert in his field, Dr. Mehta co-authored the publication titled "Maggot Therapy: An Alternative in Treating Soft Tissue Wounds, Podiatric Medical Review."
