Announcing the 2018 Media for Social Impact Leadership Council Award Recipients
NEW YORK, August 16, 2018 (Newswire.com) - On Thursday, Sept. 6 at the United Nations, the Leadership Council Award recipients will be celebrated during the 5th annual Media for Social Impact Summit. Organized by the United Nations Office for Partnerships and PVBLIC Foundation, the Summit showcases innovative social campaigns and movements through keynotes, interviews, case studies and round tables and provides a unique opportunity for delegates to network and learn from the brightest minds in media and build lasting partnerships that further social progress.
The Media for Social Impact Leadership Council is comprised of thought-leaders from their respective industries, and are nominated for this honor by their peers. The final group of honorees received the top votes from a steering committee comprised of executives from around the media and technology industries. It is one of the highest honors awarded by the social sector for the media and technology industries. This distinction is reserved for true media and technology leaders who have impacted their communities and have mobilized change in their industries. These leaders exemplify a strong drive to make a positive impact and have dedicated their work to help advance and create awareness around social impact initiatives.

The 2018 Media for Social Impact Summit provides a platform for leaders from the media and technology industries to join forces with United Nation agencies to help support the Sustainable Development Goals on a global level.
