Announcing the Official Launch of ELLA Leadership Institute and its Inaugural Annual Conference at Columbia University

New York, NY, March 11, 2013:
The Ella Leadership Institute is the first professional development platform to launch this 2013 for Latina women whose participation will advance their careers and leadership, and connect them to a network of accomplished Latinas. The ELLA Institute promotes leadership through innovative training programs, events, guidance and mentoring by the ELLA Faculty, an exclusive group of experts and industry leaders in their fields.

Bringing together aspiring and accomplished leaders, consultants and mentors, will offer valuable opportunities for connection, collaboration and consulting within the institute. The opportunity of combining a national network of exceptional women and enabling members to work together while developing and advancing their careers is much needed in today's competitive female workforce.

This national institute is headquartered in New York and is the vision of Dr. Angelica Perez-Litwin, formerly a research faculty at New York University School of Medicine, and a clinical psychologist and social entrepreneur. The oldest daughter of immigrants parents, raised in New York City, Dr. Perez-Litwin has a deeply personal and professional understanding of the challenges that career-driven Latinas face as they seek professional success.

" ELLA Institute moves beyond inspiration to create real results for aspiring and accomplished Latina professionals. ELLA Institute offers solutions-focused professional development programs that yield real impact. We achieve that through innovative programs, value-driven events and connection to an influential network of peers, mentors and consultants," says Dr. Angelica Perez-Litwin.

The Ella Institute will reach a national audience through a leadership network, regional chapters, social media channels and teleconferences. Currently, ELLA Institute has an online community with more than 2,300 accomplished Latina professionals, which serves as a platform for dialogue, resource sharing, peer-mentoring and special announcements.

Providing strategic career evaluation programs, and personalized professional development, along with coaching sessions for women interested in assessing their current career status and formulating a pathway to their career and leadership goals are just one of the many exciting services that the Ella Institute offers.

The ELLA Institute will hold its first launch event, Latinas Think BIG™, this May 16th at Barnard College, Columbia University, from 5pm to 9pm, co-sponsored by NBCLatino.com and New York Life, and in partnership with Google. Four innovative and trailblazing Latinas will each share their big idea in 16-minute presentations which will be live streamed by Google for national visibility.

The official inaugural annual conference in New York City at Columbia University will be held March 14th and 15th, 2014. This 2-day conference will showcase development workshops, mentoring sessions, innovative keynote speakers, special high profile guests and most importantly powerful networking opportunities for all.
