Annual YCS Blossoms Art Exhibit by YCS Students Author Faith Ringgold will Sign Books
Online, April 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Englewood Cliffs, NJ - April 26, 2010) - The 7th Annual YCS Blossoms Art Exhibit opens Saturday, May 1st until May 21, 2010 at bergenPAC in Englewood New Jersey. The artwork and poetry by YCS kids of all ages will be displayed in the theater's mezzanine. Opening ceremonies are from 10 am to noon. At 11:30 am, there will be a joint choral performance by the students from YCS schools in Hackensack and Fort Lee. Acclaimed artist and author, Faith Ringgold, will then present awards to all the nominees.
Faith Ringgold author and illustrator of 11 children's books including the classic Tar Beach will also be available to sign copies of her books from 10:30 to 11:00 in the lobby. (Books can be purchased at the event.)
The Blossoms exhibit will be on display in the theater's mezzanine from May 1 - May 21. YCS is a private, non-profit, social services agency that cares more than 1,600 each day in therapeutic group homes, schools and community-based programs
