APIC 2014 Sponsor Polymerupdate Summarizes Event
Online, May 20, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Pattaya was the host to this year's Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC 2014). The event was held at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) on May 15 and 16, 2014. The venue for the event was changed from Bangkok to Pattaya in light of the anti-government protests in Bangkok.
The event was met with tremendous success and appreciation from worldwide petrochemical industry participants. In addition to the speakers and panelists, the conference was attended by over 1500 delegates from the plastics and petrochemicals industry. The conference witnessed presentations made by APIC's country association representatives that brought into focus the changing face of the petrochemical industry in their respective countries.
Polymerupdate, the official media partner as well as the lanyard sponsor for the event, was represented at the event by its Founder and President, Sajjid Mitha. An avid seeker of latest industry and market moving-information himself, Mr. Mitha was thrilled with the information sharing opportunities presented at the event. He said that the conference was a rich source of information on contemporary trends in the petrochemical industry such non-conventional energy and feedstock, coal-based petrochemicals and shale gas developments. Developments in the US and China, two large petrochemical consumers, and their impact on the petrochemical scene in Asia were also discussed in detail at the event. In addition to the dissemination of information and hard facts, the event was attended by stalwarts of the Asian petrochemical industry and provided great opportunities for networking and sharing of ideas on the petrochemical world and polymer markets not only in Asia but also across the world.
APIC was organized by the Petrochemical Industry Club, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTIPC) and is conducted every year with the objective to spur mutual friendship and goodwill among the petrochemical industry players in Asia and around the world and thereby contribute to the advancement of the petrochemical industry in Asia.
