App Store Game Jumpship 2 Lays Down New Challenges
Online, December 8, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The development team at Monkeybin today released a new version of their Game " Jumpship Thrust Control" for the iPhone/iPad/iPod and they are throwing down the challenge to all fans of old-style video games to try it if they dare.
Jumpship Thrust Control is a tough side-scroller challenge game, where you are on the run from rogue fighters and need to steer a spaceship horizontally through all manner of weird and wonderful landscapes to get to safety.
Along the way there are plenty of obstacles and gremlins out to get you, but help is at hand in the form of power ups and "gifts" that make your ship easier to control and navigate.
Following the success of the first version of the game, which featured just the one level, Monkeybin invited fans of the game to feed back to them with suggestions about how it could be improved.
Many said that the game was too difficult but, rather than just make the game a lot easier (and risk the comments of "too easy") the Monkeybin team smartly implemented a training level where it is impossible to crash and also introduced 3 different competency levels- Beginner, Intermediate and Expert.
In addition, the new version has 5 new landscape levels which can be purchased in-App from the iTunes store. The first level and training level are free to play and you can try out the other landscapes to get a taster before buying.
Jumpship Thrust Control is available for FREE download from today at the iTunes store.
Monkeybin spokesperson Haakon Langaas Lageng said "JumpShip has undergone a huge update, based on user feedback and our own plans for the game."
He added that "We are very pleased with the end result and feel it's a work of beauty and a great challenge for gamers. We're excited it has been released after all the hard work and hope all our fans enjoy it."
