APPLE HOLLER TO HOST 6th ANNUAL MS ORCHARD FUNDRAISER

Online, July 15, 2010 (Newswire.com) - MS supporters who "Join The Movement", will enjoy a 1 mile walk through the orchard, where they will have the opportunity to pick a ½ peck of beautiful Paula Red apples. For those who are unable to, or choose not to walk the mile route, a tractor-drawn wagon will be available so all participants can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the fresh air of the apple orchard. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the restaurant where they can fuel up with a delicious all-you-can-eat, apple-pancake breakfast. The entry fee of $20 per walker (or $19 per walker for groups of six or more people) will include: the 1/2 peck bag for picking the Paula Red apples, the apple-pancake breakfast and one free raffle ticket. Registrations before August 15th will also receive a FREE Apple Holler Annual Orchard Walk t-shirt.

In addition to the walk, Apple Holler will also be holding a raffle drawing on the day of the event, in support of the MS Society - Wisconsin Chapter. Every year they receive valuable raffle items which have included: gift baskets, gift certificates and many more fantastic items. As donations start coming in, Apple Holler will post the list of raffle items on their website at www.appleholler.com, so be sure to check in regularly to see all of the wonderful items that generous companies and individuals donate. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing, which begins at 10:30am.

Also for sale is the Apple Bites Cookbook, a collection of apple recipes submitted by our customers, in categories of Appetizers, Cookies and Desserts, Breakfast Dishes, Salads, Main Dishes, and Breads. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society - Wisconsin Chapter. Each cookbook is just $14.99 each.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease in which the body's own defense (autoimmune) system attacks the myelin (protective layer) of the central nervous system. As this myelin is damaged, nerve impulses to and from the brain are distorted or interrupted, causing the myriad of symptoms associated with MS, including numbness, muscle weakness, blindness and paralysis. While the cause and the cure of MS are unknown, this disease is the subject of intensive worldwide research.
