Application Security, Inc. And DLT Solutions To Host Federal Cybersecurity Seminar On October 29th In Washington, DC

Application Security, Inc., the leading provider of database security, risk and compliance solutions for the enterprise, today announced it will be hosting a Federal Cybersecurity Breakfast on Wednesday, October 29, 2010 at the W Hotel in Washington, DC from 7:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event will include presentations from industry leaders including a keynote session from Kenneth Minihan, Lieutenant General of the United States Air Force and former Director of the National Security Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency on "The State of Cybersecurity."

The U.S. Department of Defense detects approximately three million unauthorized probes on its networks every day, making cybersecurity a critical issue for the government to address. Building a more effective cyber security strategy that meets the requirements of both the Federal government and the private sector will be a key theme addressed at the event. Attendees will learn which threats carry the most risk, and how securing the database safeguards sensitive information and allows organizations to meet compliance mandates.

Kenneth Minihan, Lieutenant General of the United States Air Force and former Director of the National Security Agency will present "Perspectives on Cybersecurity, Information Security, and Risk Management in Businesses, Civil Society and Government."

In addition, Noel Yuhanna, Principal Analyst, Forrester Research will present "Best Practices and Trends in Database Security." Mr. Yuhanna will discuss the changing market and how federal agencies, contractors, and organizations can safeguard critical information by deploying proven database security solutions.

Josh Shaul, Vice President of Product Management will discuss "Best Practices in Database Security, Risk and Compliance" based upon a proven security, risk and compliance lifecycle approach. Lastly, an AppSec customer case study will be presented on how the organization met its compliance and security challenges with AppSec's DbProtect solution.
