Aquila Global Welcomes 3 New Principals to Their Team - Richard Buentello, Dipanjan De and Rob Siegel

​​Aquila Global Consultancy recently acquired three new talents to their growing agency, Richard Buentello, Dipanjan De, and Rob Siegel, collectively bringing significant industry experience, vision, and leadership to the global team. Despite the contraction in the travel market brought on by COVID-19, Aquila Global has expanded over the past several months. Aquila CEO, David Palmieri, believes this is exactly the right time to grow and diversify the business to cement Aquila’s ability to serve their clients’ changing needs as they navigate the new norm of the travel industry.

Richard and Dipanjan join the company as Principals focused on Travel Technology & Products. Both based in Dallas, they will contribute across all of the firm’s advisory practices, with an emphasis on Travel Technology and Product Development.

Richard is a senior executive with 25+ years' global experience in the travel space spanning airlines, hospitality, and travel technology. He brings product and sales expertise to the Aquila team, specializing in loyalty, customer centricity, personalization, IBE, reservations, ticketing, and dynamic packaging. Rich also has extensive technical experience, specializing in high-volume and high-speed transaction processing, artificial intelligence, blockchain frameworks, e-commerce, and mobile development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & System Design from the University of Texas.

Dipanjan has spent over 15 years providing business value to Fortune 500 companies in the Travel & Technology market, using his deep breadth of experience in product development, loyalty, digital and product marketing, product, and software development. He has provided consultation to large and medium-size airlines, e-commerce companies, and government entities on marketing and merchandising, customer acquisition strategies, and value-added products and services. Dipanjan has an MBA in Finance and Marketing and an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas.

Rob is welcomed as Principal of Travel & Loyalty. Based in Miami, he will contribute with an emphasis on travel technology, loyalty, and financial technology as well as strategy and management consulting engagements. Rob is an accomplished travel industry executive and leader, bringing 20+ years of experience. He has championed executing strategic marketing, sales, and business development at Sabre, Travelocity, Orbitz, Yapstone, and Connexions Loyalty. Rob was most recently the VP Global Growth and Strategic Partnerships at Switchfly, a white label e-commerce and loyalty solution for American Express, JetBlue and American Airlines, etc. Rob has a BA in American Studies and Legal Studies from Brandeis University and an MBA in Marketing and Information Systems from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business.
