AR Sports Completes Fantasy Sports Augmented Reality Software Platform

AR Sports announced today the completed prototype of their patent pending software platform for Augmented Reality Fantasy Sports. The platform is designed to be integrated into all major fantasy sports host sites, enabling individuals to create leagues or join into existing leagues. Participants will move the player acquisition process to Augmented Reality. Using geo-location technology, participants will locate players within their existing radius to draft for their fantasy team. Available players will move into participants radius via a randomized proprietary algorithm. Participants will be able to set alerts on favorite players in order to be notified on their mobile device when their favorite players appear in their radius. The platform was designed to enable an option for advertising within augmented reality via logo or promotion capture. While participants are in augmented reality searching for players to complete their fantasy team roster, they can swipe and capture either logos or promotions from their favorite brands and products.

Lenny Parisi, Chief Executive Officer & Founder of AR Sports stated, "We wanted to create a new interactive mobile game, keeping the traditions and excitement of fantasy sports while incorporating emerging technologies in augmented reality. We are building something fun and exciting while creating a new user experience."

The company expects to launch the completed version in time for the upcoming 2017 NFL Football season and is currently in discussions with potential partners. The platform will provide for both traditional season long leagues as well as a week-to-week challenge. Season-long leagues will move the traditional draft process, including free agent pick ups to Augmented Reality. A league commissioner will set the start and stop times of both the draft and free agent pick up windows. The weekly challenge will let participants create a brand new roster each week to compete with their friends. Participants will use augmented reality to create and complete their roster.

According to various industry experts, the augmented reality industry is projected to grow substantially over the next 5-7 years with some projecting over $100 billion in total revenue. Fantasy Sports Trade Association data shows over 57 million people participate in fantasy sports with 32% being teenagers. The executive team of AR Sports will be attending the Fantasy Sports Trade Association Summer Conference in New York on June 19 and 20 at the Crown Plaza Times Square.
