Arborland Montessori Celebrates Halloween
Online, November 5, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Arborland Montessori Children's Academy students were treated to a wonderful performance by 4th-6th grade students. Each upper elementary student participated in the special performance. Every student selected an influential fictional or historical figure to dress as. Students then each gave a short autobiographic speech as their character. Some characters included Amelia Airheart, Mia Hamm, Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series, and King Arthur. The principal, Dr. Chen, joined in as well, dressing as Eliza Doolittle from "My Fair Lady."
At the conclusion of the speeches, all children in attendance were invited to participate in a costume parade. Children were walked around the perimeter of the school's playgrounds by teachers and teaching assistants while parents, friends, and onlookers were able to take fun photographs of them in their costumes. Students were dismissed to their families at the conclusion of the parade.
Families then spent the remainder of their afternoon enjoying carnival fun. There were entertaining games put on by Arborland teachers, and face painting. Two professional balloon artists were brought in to create personalized balloon masterpieces for each student upon request. Two separate inflatable jungle gyms were installed for primary and elementary students to bounce about in safely, and delicious food prepared by Arborland Montessori's own chefs.
Arborland Montessori Children's Academy hosts their costume party each year, and looks forward to seeing you and yours in attendance next year! Look for an invitation on our website, www.arborland.com or Facebook page. We hope to see you there next year for some more family fun!
