Ardent Learning Director of Instructional Design, Dr. Barbara Bucklin, Named President of the OBM Network

Ardent Learning is pleased to announce the election of their Director of Instructional Design, Dr. Barbara Bucklin as incoming President of the OBM Network.

Her goals as President are to expand the Network’s marketing and reach to increase membership and disseminate Organizational Behavior Management to a broader audience. She is especially interested in promoting the value of OBM and the Network to corporate professionals in related fields and creating compelling content which demonstrates the effectiveness of behavioral analysis in the workplace.

In her role at Ardent Learning, Dr. Bucklin oversees a large staff of instructional designers and instructional writers/developers. She is involved throughout projects to ensure that the recommended learning approach is directly aligned with clients’ core business strategies and goals and is grounded in the tenets of behavioral science.

She has taught university courses in human performance technology, the psychology of learning, organizational behavior management, and statistical methods. Her research articles have appeared in journals such as Performance Improvement Quarterly and the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management, and she has recently presented at conferences such as the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI), OBM Network, and the Training Magazine Conference and Expo.

Dr. Bucklin holds a Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis and the Psychology of Learning, and a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
