Arizona Mother Launches Site to Find Canada Father
Online, May 24, 2013 (Newswire.com) - A single mother in Arizona who has been looking for her child's father for five years has launched a website to find him.
The website is just a few pages, all dedicated toward getting visitors to provide any anonymous tips on where the father is. On the home page, the mother writes, "I have exhausted options for finding [child's father's name] through more traditional means. I have used state child support agencies in both [state] and [state] and gotten nowhere. Without a physical home address, these agencies will do nothing for you."
There are a variety of websites dedicated to finding "deadbeat dads" and many state and province agency websites actually publish the photos and names of fathers (and mothers) who did not fulfill child support obligations.
But when those agencies aren't able to provide assistance, single mothers are left with few options. "I started this website basically to smoke him out. I know once his reputation begins to take a hit, he will contact me. He knows where I am and how to get in touch with me," said the website's creator.
The website is similar to a missing person's website and may indicate a growing trend among single mothers who are savvy enough to create websites or use social media to do what child support agencies are unable to do: find missing fathers.
