Armstrong Relocation Executive Named President-Elect to Dallas HR

Regional arm of Society for Human Resources Management elect Armstrong's Vice President of Corporate Relocation

Recently, the Dallas Human Resource Management Association (DHRMA) elected Bruce Waller as its President-Elect in 2011. Following his mentorship under next year's president Dr. Sandra Reid, Waller, who is Vice President of Corporate Relocation for Armstrong Relocation, a Dallas-based leader in national relocation solutions, will become DHRMA President in 2012.

DHRMA - also known as DallasHR in industry circles - has been as the regional chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) since 1964. With more than 2,000 members, the North Texas region is among the most active chapters in the country providing education opportunities for human resource professionals in North Texas.

"Since 2004, I have been both challenged and inspired by DallasHR, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to serve this prestigious organization," said Waller. "During my two-year leadership, I plan to continue the mentorship for others that I received when I first joined. Hopefully, through mentorship and education, we can help stimulate thinking among our fellow companies that will benefit DallasHR on both the local and national landscape."

DallasHR is staff managed and volunteer led, according to Dr. Reid. A fact she believes will enable the organization to continue to serve the needs of the HR professional measurably better than anywhere in the nation with Waller, who is no stranger to customizing customer service and experience.

"Bruce has a leadership presence and a vision focused on the customer, which is something DallasHR embraces with the select people in this position," said Dr. Reid, who is also Chair of the Graduate School of Business for Dallas Baptist University. "Relationships are key to our ability to sustain organizational health and growth, which is something Bruce has nurtured at Armstrong Relocation for years with great success."

DallasHR was formed to foster the professional development of the membership, to be a forum for the exchange of ideas, and to provide leadership for human resource concerns. Additionally, DallasHR has earned SHRM's Superior Merit Award each year since its inception, as well as the notable Pinnacle Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement in chapter and state council development. Additionally, Pinnacle Award winners are lauded for their advancements of effective human resource management.
