Art Show at Radcom to Benefit Charitable Organization for Leukemia Research

(Hudson, Ohio, USA / March 31, 2010) - Join local artists on April 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Radcom headquarters in Hudson, Ohio, at 561 Boston Mills Rd., Suite 400, to support the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Bob Dianetti, Radcom president and founder, is competing in the Society's 'Man of the Year' competition. Funds he raises through the art show, as well as any other funds he collects up until a gala 'Man and Woman of the Year' event in May, will count towards his efforts. Whoever raises the most funds by the end of the event will earn the title of Man or Woman of the Year.

Dianetti will raise funds by asking artists to donate a piece of art for a silent auction which is the culminating fundraising event in May for the 'Man of the Year' competition. Artists can also choose to donate 15% of their proceeds at the April 17 Radcom Art Show. Any and all other donations are appreciated. Radcom will also host a bake sale during the event with all proceeds going towards Dianetti's 'Man of the Year' campaign.

Dianetti's son, Mikey, has already been named 'Boy of the Year' for the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In the past few years Dianetti's company, Radcom, has been one of the top fundraisers in the Society's 'Light the Night' walks and he has also participated in the Society's 'Team in Training' earning funds by running in a half marathon. "I can't express the appreciation I have for the Leukemia Society's efforts on behalf of patients like my son, Mikey. If it wasn't for them, Mikey might not be now in remission and able to enjoy the incredible display of talent we hope everyone will see on April 17," said Dianetti.

Public attending the April 17 Radcom Art Show will be asked to make a donation at the door. The artists will display their pieces and negotiate sales directly with patrons. Artists include students, amateurs, and professionals, including members of the Hudson Society of Artists (HSA). Radcom is still accepting artists through April 10. Current artists scheduled to display pieces include: Sandie Angart, Jennifer Beaujon, Colleene Daugharty, Gale Haller, Scott Martin, Jacquie Murley, Patty Stafford, Mardy Walling, and Jennifer Worden. Their artwork includes: amigurumi and fabric pictures, fine art photography, fused glass chests, hand stamped vintage garden markers, jewelry, paintings, themed decoupage plates, and wood carvings.
