Art2o to Introduce New "Art Beverage" Line at Art Basel Exhibition

New purified bottled water features original works of art on its label, promoting art community and educating consumers

Art2o, a new brand of purified bottled water out of Miami, announced the launch of its beverage line today. Art2o will unveil the featured artists for its new line of purified bottled water at an art exhibition the company will host during Art Basel on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at 360 Space, located at 220 NW 27th St., Wynwood, Fla.

The new bottled water company is raising awareness for art by placing it into the hands of consumers. Art2o uses the label on its bottled water to provide artists with a new way to reach audiences. With each new round of labels it unveils, Art2o bottles will feature new collections of original artwork by select emerging, mid-established, and established artists; inspired by world renowned, master artists.

“Art2o uses the labels of its bottles like a canvas to bring the talented work of amazing artists to new audiences who may otherwise never discover them,” Claudia López, founder of Art2o, states. “By making the art world more accessible, we seek to drive awareness for the relevance of art in society. It’s about creating a relationship between our customers and the art community that supports artistic expression and appreciation through education.”

From the moment one purchases Art2o, the company connects customers with the art world. Each Art2o bottle features a QR code that, when scanned, directs customers to the Art2o website to learn more. Through the stories on each bottle of Art2o and the resources on its website, customers can discover or rediscover art – one bottle at a time.

The inaugural collection of art featured on Art2o’s bottles will include work from the following artists:  Lois Eby (inspired by Kandinsky), Erwin Esquivel (inspired by Frida Kahlo), Pablo Contrisciani (inspired by Willem de Kooning), and Havi Schanz (inspired by Andy Warhol). The original artwork from Art2o’s inaugural art collection will be available for purchase at its launch art exhibition during Art Basel.

In addition to Art2o’s purified bottled water, the company has launched a nonprofit organization to the art community. Five cents from every bottle purchased will support Art2o Inc., the company’s nonprofit organization. Funding raised will be used to support art exhibitions for discovered and undiscovered artists, create educational opportunities for aspiring artists, and provide resources for artists of all backgrounds.

Art2o sources naturally alkaline spring water (7.8 - 7.9 pH) from protected springs located 2000 feet below the surface. The company plans to release future art collections on its labels, inspired by such master artists as Klimt, Miró, Matisse, Monet, Renoir, Pollock, Chagall, Michelangelo, Lichtenstein, Van Gogh, and Da Vinci.

Art2o is currently available for purchase at 360 Space with additional retail distribution to be announced soon.
