Artists Chosen for Compilation CD - And Open Auditions Begin Again

Online, February 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Kamir Chi Studios LLC has announced the artists chosen for their first compilation CD, Ignite! Volume I. Company President Kamir Chi said, "This has been a long process. Quite frankly, we did not realize we would get hundreds of submissions. But I am very satisfied with the artists we have chosen to represent the label on our first offering."

Five artists were selected, and three alternates. The artists are Bugatti Maserati (Bellville Illinois), Geoffree (Metamora Michigan), J Terror (Daytona Beach Florida), NUK (Santa Barbara California), and SUPURB (Colorado Springs Colorado). The alternates chosen were Cherry Red (Sacramento California), HOLISTIC MEDITATION (Boise Idaho), and LUIGI (Portland Oregon).

The Ignite Series is unusual in that artists choose beats from the company's beat library, then have 30 days to create their raps, on almost any subject. Chi stated, "We want to show the major labels these guys can work on a deadline. They are serious about their music, and record company executives will see just how professional they are. I wouldn't be surprised if the majors sign a couple of them, just on the strength of their performances here."

There is no firm release date set for the CD at this time.

Kamir Chi Studios also announced open auditions for Ignite! Volume II begin February 1, 2011, and run until March 31, 2011. The company looks for aspiring rappers who use the West Coast style of Hip Hop as their source of inspiration, but have added their own unique stamp.
