Online, February 6, 2011 (Newswire.com) - In the midst of the recession, Las Vegas non-profit agencies continue to struggle with decreased donations. While many companies may simply consider writing a check to support non-profit organizations (NPO), ASI Conference Systems http://www.asiconferencesystems.com takes its role of corporate sponsorship to a personal level.
"We take our commitments to local NPO's very personally," said ASI Conference Systems Project Manager, Vivian Wright-Bolton. "We work very closely with agencies, specifically those working with communities of color. We offer our financial support, and we provide translator services free of charge for community outreach projects, we donate AV equipment for events, and interpretation equipment for bilingual community events.
ASI's staff, comprised of interpreters / translators and AV technicians, donate their time both in the planning of non-profit events and as well as during the actual community event. "We like to participate with various groups, where we know we are able to provide the greatest level of assistance," said Wright-Bolton.
On February 12-13, ASI Conference Systems will provide a team of interpreters, as well as translation booths and interpretation equipment for the "Living Without Borders" conference. ASI's sister agency Nevada Court Interpreters http://www.nevadacourtinterpreters.com, will provide the professional interpreters for the event, all of whom are donating their time.
"We routinely work with local churches, AIDS service organizations and immigrants' rights group," continued Wright-Bolton, "these are certainly areas where there is tremendous need and limited resources. We see our contribution as part of our social responsibility. It is encouraging to work with other community groups and business that are truly in line with this concept."
In keeping with the concept of community responsibility, ASI Conference Systems has once again partnered with the "Ya Es Hora" citizenship/civic engagement campaign http//:www.yaeshora.com. The 2nd annual event is scheduled to take place on April 16, 2011. The Las Vegas "Ya Es Hora" coalition is comprised of national and local agencies including the Human Rights Campaign, NALEO, Harrah's Entertainment ,Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce.
