Attack Gold Dealers Says Aurum Advisors President, Marc Lubaszka
Online, February 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - "Attack, I say," says Marc Lubaszka. "Attack gold dealers with everything you have at your disposal." Strong words coming from a man who just a few short years ago had to defend himself from only 5 complaints to the Better Business Bureau. All of which have been satisfactorily addressed.
Consumers today are scared so it makes sense. They are going to go after companies that they feel will pay out if they complain so that the company can protect its reputation. What consumers do not understand is companies like Aurum Advisors ("The Company") have decided to take a stand. They are already making plans to make a contribution to the gold industry and create a website that will protect businesses from consumers that attempt to tarnish a good company's name. Aurum Advisors is the first company in the world to begin development on the concept of businesses joining together to file complaints against consumers. "We are tired of the few repeated consumer attempts to make us look bad and we have made the decision to fight back. We have thousands upon thousands of happy consumers that have bought from us over the years. We have worked very hard at making sure customers get what they expect," said Lubaszka.
Unfortunately, the few consumers that will never be satisfied will go out of their way to create problems that don't exist or they will exaggerate, in an attempt to legally extort money out of small businesses by using freedom of speech. Unfortunately, the exercising of this "freedom" by the few can create unnecessary situations for the many that are "enslaving" and oppressive.
Aurum Advisors will be launching two websites that will allow businesses to file complaints about customers. BetterConsumersBureau.org and DistrustLink.org will be sources for small, medium, and large businesses to protect themselves from two things. #1 - The chronic complainer who can never be satisfied. And #2 - the type of complainer that does not paint the entire picture publically in an attempt to receive compensation from companies that are easily intimidated and pay the complainer to keep quiet even if no wrong doing has been committed by the company.
For example, Aurum Advisors experienced a situation where a customer purchased gold from the company outside of his retirement account, took delivery of the gold and sold the gold back to the company at a profit and filed a complaint against Aurum on complaintsboard.com.
His name is David Tyer, SR., out of East Ridge Tennessee. He uses his freedom of speech to slander Aurum Advisors good name. He is attempting to, in essence, extort money from Aurum Advisors. He has an unfortunate story. He originally purchased $11,970.00 worth of gold outside of his retirement account. He took possession of his metal. Several months later Mr. Tyer Sr. wanted to liquidate his position and Aurum agreed to buy back the position at a profit. Aurum bought back each coin, 147% higher than each coin's "melt value". The agreed upon liquidation value was $12,572.00 for the entire position between Aurum and Mr. Tyer.
Upon liquidation of Mr. Tyer's gold position, Aurum Advisors accounting department sent him two checks for $12,572.00 accidentally. Once Mr. Tyer realized Aurum Advisors had made an error, what did he do? Did he call Aurum to let them know that he received funds that were not actually his? No. He deposited both checks into his account and never called Aurum Advisors to bring the error to the company's attention. Unfortunately, Aurum Advisors did not identify the problem until after Mr. Tyer deposited both checks and allowed the additional $12,572.00 to clear the account.
Mr. Tyer also purchased precious metals from Aurum Advisors for his self-directed precious metal IRA. He chose to also sell back to Aurum the precious metals he had originally bought from Aurum, for his self-directed precious metal IRA. Aurum Advisors sent the check to his IRA account after being reassured by Mr. Tyer that he would return the $12,572.00. Upon his failure to return the $12,572.00 to Aurum, Aurum stopped payment on the check that Aurum Advisors had sent to Mr. Tyres self-directed IRA custodian. The check did not "bounce" as Mr. Tyer claimed in a complaint he filed online Aurum chose to stop payment.
So what does he do? He complains more, but this time his lies become even more outrageous. He claims that even though he purchased precious metal products from us for his IRA that "the product never existed" and even went as far as saying we were running a "Ponzi scheme." So, he buys gold from us. We mail the gold to him. He receives the gold. He mails the gold back to us. He sells the gold back to Aurum Advisors at a profit. He fails to return the money that was sent to him accidentally for that transaction. Then he "warns" others about our "questionable" business practices. He essentially is using the internet to attempt to extort money from the Company that has never, under any circumstances, refused to buy precious metals back from a consumer that has purchased precious metals from the Company - not a single case.
In fact, not only has the Company never refused to buy metal back from a customer, but it has always bought the metal back at the highest value in the market place. There has never been one single case where the Company has offered to buy back metal from a customer and heard the response from the customer, "I wasn't expecting you to offer me such a large amount for my gold. I have talked to another gold dealer that offered me much less to buy my gold, for more than Aurum is offering." Why? Because we stand by our guarantee. We put our money where our mouth is. We give consumers more than any other dealer would offer. Because gold is a limited resource and we are in the business of protecting consumer's wealth, not destroying it.
So how has David Tyer Sr. impacted others? #1 - He has caused doubt in the minds of current consumers that have been happy with the price and service we have provided buy saying we are "crooks". #2 - He has caused doubt in the minds of prospective buyers, which would benefit from our competitive prices and our "no fee" to liquidate policy, that have chosen to go somewhere else to purchase gold. #3 - He is wasting the time of the FBI, the BBB, the California Attorney General, the District Attorney and ourselves. Most companies will not pay money to defend themselves. We are not one of those companies. In fact, we are just the opposite. We are currently spending more money than we made from Mr. Tyer's account to protect not only ourselves, the gold industry itself and to protect the peace of mind that most of our thousands upon thousands of clients currently have. We are also finding solutions and pouring resources into programs that will protect not only the gold industry but any type of business in an industry from people like Mr. Tyer.
BetterConsumerBureaus.com and DistrustLink.com will allow business owners to check on who is attempting to buy a product or service from them. Businesses will be able to immediately see if other businesses have been negatively affected by a David Tyer type. This will also assist law enforcement agencies and other regulatory agencies to quickly gather data on consumer's complaint history.
Essentially, law enforcement agencies and other regulatory officials will be able to see how consumers complain, slander and attempt to legally extort money from businesses that have made enhancing the consumer's experience a part of how they do business. Businesses will have the opportunity to say "no" to a consumer that has had a history of attempting to hurt good business in the past and has not responded to the complaints filed against them by the business that have filed with the BetterConsumerBureau.com or DistrustLink.com and have unnecessarily used up resources that various governing and regulatory agencies have to investigate using tax dollars that have dedicated American tax dollars to investigate unnecessarily.
The BetterConsumersBureaus.org and DistrustLink.org will force consumers to become more responsible buyers in the community on a local, state and national level. A consumer that wrongfully accuses or threatens a good business that is operating in a fair way does a disservice to his or her fellow consumers because the cost that is incurred by a business that has to devote resources to defend itself from "chronic complainers" will have to raise prices across the board which negatively impacts the entire client base. It will also deter prospective buyers from buying which in turn will not help an economy that is already under siege.
Expect Aurum Advisors to launch BetterConsumerBureaus.org and DistrustLink.org as a free service exclusively to the gold industry initially so that fellow gold dealers can quickly check the track record of a prospect's buyer history. If several gold dealers have had customers that have operated in an unethical way, a gold dealer will be able to protect themselves from being taken advantage of by shady potential customers.
BetterConsumersBureaus.org and DistrustLink.org are currently in development and will be available for the 6,500 gold dealers nationwide to post reviews or complaints about unscrupulous consumers by March 29, 2011. BetterConsumersBureau.org and DistrustLink.org will also be available to any and all industries nationwide by mid-summer 2011. Consumers might want to think twice about only tipping their barber $1.00 after a good haircut.
Gold Dealers that have had a bad experience with unscrupulous consumers in the past can email between now and the launch date, at [email protected].
