Free Town Hall Series Offers Advice, Insight To Homeowners
Sponsored by Prudential Americana Group, event features experts in law, finance, real estate
(Las Vegas, Nev.) Las Vegans who are upside down in their mortgages or facing a foreclosure have a new source for hope with a free Town Hall series sponsored by Prudential Americana Group, REALTORS. The first Town Hall meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 21 from 10 a.m. to noon at Red Rock Resort & Casino. At the meeting, the public will be able to discuss their personal challenges in the Las Vegas real estate market with local experts including attorneys, financial advisors and mortgage specialists. To RSVP, visit www.americanagroup.com or call 702-796-7777.
"The idea for this came from hearing so many stories of people who need to know their options, whether it is a short sale, foreclosure or other outcome," said Mark Stark, CEO of Prudential Americana Group. "This meeting will give you information to get out of your current situation. If you are underwater in your home or in some phase of the foreclosure process, you need to make some tough decisions and likely don't know what to do. At the Town Hall meeting, you'll meet experts who know exactly what you're going through and can help you move in the right direction."
According to Stark, expected attendance at the Town Hall meetings will include homeowners of distressed properties and those interested in learning more about home pricing, short sales, foreclosure, modifications and government programs like HAMP and HAFA.
The Town Hall meetings are the result of another Prudential-sponsored public education series entitled "Las Vegas Real Estate Solutions." The television series is airing locally through August and includes candid discussions with Stark and other experts about short sales, foreclosures and loan modifications.
Stark said the show addresses questions thousands of people have about their homes but are afraid to ask. "One of the most common questions is 'will I ever be able to buy a home again?' That is something we address with the help of real estate attorney Tisha Black-Chernine of the Black & Lobello law firm, John Ingram of Shelter Mortgage and other experts in real estate and finance.
"Thousands of Las Vegas homeowners have been holding on as long as they could and are at the end of their reserves," said Stark. "They don't know where to turn. The television series and Town Hall meetings will provide free information from experts to help you get back on your feet and make the right decisions."
The "Las Vegas Real Estate Solutions" is airing locally and on demand at www.americanagroup.com. For a full schedule of the series and to sign up for the first Town Hall meeting, visit www.americanagroup.com or call Diane Ray at 702-796-7777.
