Austin Electric Vehicles Forms Strategic Partnership With Circuit of the Americas
AUSTIN, Texas, September 18, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Austin Electric, (http://austinelectric.com), a developer of compact, emission-free vehicles for the urban, commercial, and consumer markets, announced the company is partnering with Circuit of The Americas (COTA), (www.circuitoftheamericas.com), America’s premier destination for professional motorsports and entertainment. Austin Electric’s Metro (http://austinelectric.com/metro), the company’s flagship all-electric utility vehicle, has been selected by COTA to provide logistical support for competitions during the 2017 racing season, including the October 20-22 Formula One United States Grand Prix — the only Formula One race in the USA.
Austin Electric delivered the first Metro vehicles to COTA in late August. Event spectators and participants will be able to witness the Metro make its clean-energy fueled contribution to an efficiently run, safe, and enjoyable COTA season, beginning with the Pirelli World Challenge on September 2-3, 2017.
We are excited about our partnership with Austin Electric as they are providing COTA with extremely practical and 100% electric utility vehicles. They also help COTA meaningfully advance our sustainability goals. On top of that, everyone is fighting over who gets to use them!
