Auto Parts Supplier Autoyet Predicted DVD Players Will Displace CD Players
Online, August 8, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Hong Kong, China (i-newswire.com): Car CD players would be supplanted by DVD players in the next ten years according to car accessories shop Autoyet.
Right now Ford is scraping CD players from their cars in Europe. Soon they will be purging CD players from the rest of their line too. Ford plans to scrape CD players in all their other cars in the next few years according to Irish Times.
Gerald Tsang, Public Relations manager for auto parts site, Autoyet, said CD players would be replaced by car DVD players in ten years.
"Ford's bid to remove CD players is evidently an audacious move but not one that's unexpected. Technology gets outpaced and killed and to be honest, CDs became irrelevant years ago. As we all know, car manufacturers who are slow at adopting good technology, are likely realizing that very few people use the CD player over an auxiliary input," said Mr. Tsang. "DVD players become more and more popular. It may be in ten years, not too long, that DVD players will replace in-car CD players."
Car accessories store Autoyet launched a new line of car DVD players last Friday according to Mr. Tsang.
"Autoyet will also remove CD series in the next few months. Meanwhile we will launch more car DVD players to meet the demands of customers. Last Friday, we launched a new series of DVD players," said Mr. Tsang.
