Automated Systems Design (ASD) Assists Corus360 with Atlanta Data Center Expansion

Corus360's recently expanded Data Center features the latest iCAT-ITS™ and iGLO-ITS™ technology from Automated Systems Design.

Automated Systems Design (ASD®) recently assisted Corus360 with a Data Center expansion as part of the company's new Compute, Data and Workgroup Recovery Center. In addition to floor space renovation and expansion activities, ASD installed iCAT-ITS™ four-post distribution racks, iCAT-ITS™ two-post distribution racks, as well as more than 40,000 feet of inter-rack iCAT-ITS™ Category 6a 10 gigabit cable, manufactured by ASD. The Recovery Center also includes ASD's inter-rack iGLO-ITS™12-strand fiber cables, exceeding 108 fiber strands. The Recovery Center is the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certified Recovery Center of its kind in the state of Georgia.

"Corus360 is excited to announce the completion of the Recovery Center expansion. A LEED Gold Certified facility equipped with environmentally conscious and efficient technology services, the Recovery Center has an innovative design that enables cost and energy savings in server, storage, cooling and power distribution," said Stephen Jones, Chief Technologist, Corus360. "Our Data Recovery Services provide organizations with the ability to enable full and affordable business restorability at the Corus360 Recovery Center."

The Compute, Data and Workgroup Recovery Center has been operational since 2009; however, phase II of the Recovery Center was recently completed, which finalizes the fully functional 30,000-square-foot center. The facility is located at 130 Technology Parkway in a more than 30-year-old building that had been vacant for nearly a decade before Corus360 purchased it in 2008.

"The Corus360 Compute, Data and Workgroup Recovery Center is a prime example of how a building that has been around for decades can be transformed into a completely modern facility, equipped with the leading cabling and data center technologies," said Bob Eskew, founder and CEO of Automated Systems Design.
