Avamere Proudly Partners With Pride Northwest

WILSONVILLE, Ore., May 20, 2021 (Newswire.com) - The Avamere Family of Companies (AFC), a group of companies providing assisted living, independent living, memory care, rehabilitation, home care, and other senior services, is proud to announce a new partnership with Pride Northwest. 

Avamere is sponsoring Pride Northwest's 2021 Virtual Portland Pride Parade on June 20. Select vendors and participants will be part of the parade at the Portland International Raceway with capacity monitored and social distancing practiced. Pride NW will host a virtual viewing party for registered users. The broadcast will be available to the general community.

Pride Northwest, Inc.'s mission is to encourage and celebrate the positive diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans communities and to assist in the education of all people through the development of activities that showcase the history, accomplishments, and talents of these communities. 

The sponsorship is a move in continued efforts behind the Avamere Family of Companies' diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiative. Avamere values diversity, equity, and inclusion, corporate social responsibility, and employee engagement. Its internal work to educate employees about the LGBTQIA+ community and, specifically, in building inclusive practices for its elderly LGBTQIA+ patients/residents is a key focus in this initiative.
