Avon HMO CEO, Ukiri, To Speak At Africa Business Summit in Chicago
Mrs. Adesimbo Ukiri, MD/CEO of Avon Healthcare, a foremost Health Management Organization (HMO) in Nigeria, will be one of the major speakers at the Africa Business Summit, the largest US-Africa private sector meeting of any kind, from Oct. 8-11,2013
Online, October 2, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The African Business Summit will hold at the McCormick Place Convention Centre in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The event is being organized by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), an America-based non-profit organization established to promote business and investment between the United States and Africa.
Over the past decade, The Corporate Council on Africa has become a key player in US-Africa economic and trade issues. Representing a diverse pool of industries from more than 20 key sectors, including agri-business, energy, infrastructure, security, power, healthcare, telecommunications and finance, CCA is devoted to improving US-Africa business relations and has more than 180 companies as members.
Mrs. Ukiri, who will be attending the meeting along with other key executives of Heirs Holdings, a pan-African investment company of which Avon HMO is a part of, will be speaking on the theme: "Moving The Needle On Healthcare Financing." She will be expected to review the current state of healthcare financing in Nigeria, and how companies like Avon HMO are making positive contributions to on-going reforms in that sector.
The Africa Business Summit is held annually, and this year's edition is expected to attract key stakeholders from both continents, including Heads of States, government ministers, US Cabinet officials and more than one thousand business persons engaged or interested in Africa. Over seven hundred participants from more than seventy countries are expected to attend the Summit.
