Online, April 22, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Ocular Concepts is proud to announce the launch of a redesigned Drupal-based website for the Avon Lake Public Library, a Cleveland client.
With over 300,000 visitors annually, the Avon Lake Public Library is an active and ever-changing non-profit focused on the lifelong learning of this patrons. The library needed a website that could represent this mission, not only with a professional look and feel, but one coupled with functionality that lets them quickly update content.
After extensive research into Drupal content management systems (CMS), the Avon Lake Public Library chose website developer Ocular Concepts as their Drupal experts for the task updating and managing the library's online information. Using Drupal CMS means that everything on the Avon Lake Public Library's website is easily editable: news, events, page content and even staff information.
"Our goal was to design a website for the Avon Lake Public Library that was highly effective, user friendly and conveyed a multitude of information to patrons while keeping the client's desire for a clean design," said Rich Dusky, President of Ocular Concepts.
This project also included custom module development on top of the Drupal content platform. Ocular Concepts designed specific custom modules in-house for portions of the site including events and meeting room calendars, an editable news slider on the home page and also for Javascript-based tabbed navigation. Featuring visually-striking photos from the library's own collection, the personalized Avon Lake Public Library website is ready to serve the community.
