Award-Winning Author, Laura D. Adams, to Keynote the 2012 Annual Conference on Financial Education
Online, November 2, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Institute for Financial Literacy (www.FinancialLit.org), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization whose mission is to promote effective financial education and counseling, announced today that award-winning author and noted money expert Laura D. Adams will headline its 7th Annual Conference on Financial Education™ by delivering the keynote address on April 19, 2012. The Institute's Annual Conference is being held April 18-20, 2012 at the Caribe Royale, in Orlando, FL.
The Institute also announced that it is now accepting speaker proposals for the Conference. Speaking opportunities exist for the general session and three tracks focusing on children K-12, adults 18 and over and military/public servants. Individuals interested in speaking should complete a speaker proposal which can be found at www.ACFEonline.org and submit before Dec. 2, 2011. Speaker selection will be made in December.
The Annual Conference on Financial Education was established by the Institute in 2006 to promote the effective delivery of consumer financial products, services and education by hosting a national event for professionals providing these services. In addition to being a valuable networking event for financial educators, the Conference serves as a showcase for financial education success stories, offering attendees proven strategies, tips and techniques to achieve intended outcomes, funding goals and program sustainability. This year's Conference is expected to draw more than 250 financial educators.

Laura is the host of the Money Girl podcast, a weekly top-10 business show on iTunes with over 500,000 downloads per month. She is a freelance writer, blogger, and trainer who is frequently featured in the media. She works with clients as a financial coach and leads online educational programs. In addition, Laura is a Certified Personal Finance Counselor with the Center for Financial Certifications and received an M.B.A. from the University of Florida.
