Award Winning Roseville Movers Offers Tips On Unwinding At The End Of The Day

Sometimes the stress of life is so overpowering we just can't seem to kick back and unwind.

Sometimes the stress of life is so overpowering we just can't seem to kick back and unwind. "I know for me, I have to really focus on relaxing to be able to unwind at the end of a stressful day," explains Heather Evans, move consultant at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, Sacramento.
1. Make it Smell Good!!
Aromatherapy --- I love this method of relaxing. It is inviting, calming, and just plain fun. There are many smells out there one can use. Lavender is the most popular scent used for relaxing, but there are many other flavors and smells out there too. I like cinnamon, vanilla and sea breeze.

2. Sounds (calming ones that is)
Soft, gentle and subtle sounds are usually what I choose when trying to settle down. Even if you like it, music like heavy metal and hip hop will do little to put you in a truly relaxed frame of mind. Go to a quiet room and listen to the sounds, focus on the music. The notes, the melodies-then allow your mind to be loose and free. Even if you only have 5 minutes to do this, it is worth it and it works.

3. Animals
Pets are good companions to have. They don't judge you, talk back or put you down. So when you need a little snuggle or affection from an unconditional friend, it's always good to have a pet.

4. Books
An excellent escape: a good long novel. From mysteries, to suspense and, of course, my absolute favorite, love stories. The possibilities are endless. Books can take you away making you forget about whatever ails you. They're fun and the cost is low. Nothing beats a good book when I need to relax.

5. Exercise
Ever heard of a runner's high? While not usually correlated with relaxing, this can honestly relax you. The increase of your body's chemicals like endorphins can make you feel good and free, enabling you to calm down and relax. Plus it is good for you all around.

These are just a few simple, inexpensive ways to wind down at the end of any day. Try them out and breathe deep, life is for living!!
