Awesome Networks Awarded Microsoft BizSpark Grant

Moberly, MO, December 21, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Awesome Networks an Internet Service Provider out of Moberly Missouri has been awarded the Microsoft BizSpark grant. This grant is awarded to companies under 5 years of age who meet the criteria presented by Microsoft. Tens of thousands apply for the grant every year and only a few are selected. The award presented to Awesome Networks includes 3 years' worth of Microsoft Azure hosting and virtually every piece of software that Microsoft offers.

Awesome Networks is currently constructing a program to implement eLearning to rural communities. It is the goal of Awesome Networks to be able to provide both a hardware infrastructure and software services that will interconnect teachers with students even in the most remote locations of the Mid-West. This solution will allow the students access to teachers, materials, and technology that they wouldn't have access to otherwise. In turn teachers will be able to communicate and teach their students whether or not they are in the classroom.

It is the goal of Awesome Networks to be able to provide both a hardware infrastructure and software services that will interconnect teachers with students even in the most remote locations of the Mid-West.

For those  who live out in the rural areas of the Midwest, the task of getting children to the classroom everyday can quite the challenge and often without success.

The solution purposed by Awesome Networks incorporates eLearning software, unified communications (Video conferencing, calls, text, email) that will work off any standard device. (PC, Mac, IOS, Android) but specifically tailored to be used on a tablet. 

The eLearning experience will be delivered securely over any IP network. Awesome Networks in currently seeking an infrastructure grant to provide the coverage needed within the rural communities to ensure every student has access no matter where they are.

The grant from Microsoft allows Awesome Networks to deploy the testing servers needed to deliver the content. The ability to utilize the software resources that Microsoft offers will help to deliver the solution sooner than expected.
