"Kids will still get lost, but by wearing the bands and having the conversation with their parents, more kids will have the information they need to give the authorities in the event of an emergency."

The Miami-based B-Safe ID manufactures its security bands in the United States, and plans to sell them in stores across the country. Currently, the bands and bracelets are available online. The company donates a percentage of its sales to Chai Lifeline, a nonprofit that supports children diagnosed with life-threatening or lifelong illnesses.
