B-Safe ID Wristbands and Bracelets for Kids Offer Parents Peace of Mind

A line of child ID wristbands and bag tags alleviate the anxiety for parents shopping and traveling with kids, especially during the holidays.

Two moms who know the fear that comes with losing a child in a large crowd, have developed an affordable line of security ID wristbands for kids aimed at ensuring their safe return home.

B-Safe ID (www.b-safeid.com) features an array of colorful and fun wristbands, bag tags, and bracelets ranging in price from $3.99 (for a stretch band) to $49.99 for a GPS version. The adjustable wristbands and bracelets are designed for toddlers to kids up to the age of 10.

The line is designed so parents and guardians can add their emergency contact details on each band or bracelet, giving authorities the information they need to ensure the quick return of a lost child.

"Most parents have lost their child, and they know that feeling of fear and panic that takes over," said Laure Lederman, who with her partner Sandra Coiffman, created B-Safe ID. "It's not that you're a bad parent. It's that kids are fast, curious and prone to wandering. B-Safe ID offer parents a level of security and help authorities find them quickly."

B-Safe ID wristbands are perfect to use during the busy holiday shopping and travel season. With families headed to the malls and airports, B-Safe ID gives parents added security in case their children get lost in the crowd, Lederman said.

Nearly 800,000 children under 18 are reported missing every year. Three out of four parents have lost a child at one time or another. And, studies show that most children when found don't have their parent's current or accurate contact information.

"The process of putting the B-Safe ID bands and bracelets on children will give parents the opportunity to educate their kids about how to reach them," Coiffman said. "Kids will still get lost, but by wearing the bands and having the conversation with their parents, more kids will have the information they need to give the authorities in the event of an emergency."

The Miami-based B-Safe ID manufactures its security bands in the United States, and plans to sell them in stores across the country. Currently, the bands and bracelets are available online. The company donates a percentage of its sales to Chai Lifeline, a nonprofit that supports children diagnosed with life-threatening or lifelong illnesses.
