Carteret, NJ (March 29 2010) - Ty Low Productions (www.tylowpro.com) officially announced Back By popular Demand the date for the upcoming and highly anticipated play "A Grandmother's Prayers". The play will run for two consecutive nights at the Renaissance Church in Carteret New Jersey on May 14th and May 15th. Ty Low Productions specializes in providing inspirational theatrical performances and 'A Grandmother's Prayers' is their current must see of the season. The play is expected to pull the heartstrings of its audience while the storyline breaks down the ins and outs of a troubled family dynamic. Specifically with focus on the lead character Grandma Nellie. An older woman that is constantly praying for the lives of her grandchildren, her daughter running in and out of her families lives when she is needed the most, and a grandson chasing a basketball players dream. While helping to raise her grandchildren and support her own troubled daughter; Grandma Nellie finds guidance and strength in the power of prayer. "What makes our performances different from other plays is we base all of our shows on realistic life situations, but we show them from a bible base," said Director and Producer Tyrone Lowman. "Our productions send a message of hope, encouragement, love, forgiveness, and faith." Lowman's previous productions dating back to 2007 include successes such as 'He's Still A Man' a story about a pastor's earthly struggles. 'Lord, Make Me Over' a play that told a tale that dealt directly with homosexuality as well as substance abuse, and 'What Kind Of Love Is This' with a storyline that centered in on a couple's battle with infidelity.
The cast of 'A Grandmother's Prayers' includes seasoned performers such as Shannah Barletta ,Joel Painson ,John Mensah, Jayson Dukes, Jon Zachary Yolanda Williams, and Dahiana Torres. All of which are names that bring to the stage experience that spans across a wide array of colorful resumes. Boasting performances both television and theatre that include recognizable company names such as New Line Cinema, Disney, BHF Magazine, Teatro Diplo, Black Repertory Theatre and more. The lead role of Grandma Nellie is being played by newcomer and theatrical powerhouse by the name of Dolores White who previously attended The New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts.
