Back Creek Christian Academy Announces Annual BobCat Blast

The BobCat Blast offers students, parents, and friends the opportunity to pledge their support for the school through making donations that will assist the school's growth, benefiting the students.

Back Creek Christian Academy, a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade school that focuses on Christian and classical education, is preparing to hold their annual BobCat Blast. The BobCat Blast offers students, parents, and friends the opportunity to pledge their support for the school through making donations that will assist the school's growth, benefiting the students.

Parents and friends of Back Creek Christian Academy, a leader in offering Christian and classical education, are invited to join the students and staff at the upcoming BobCat Blast. The BobCat Blast, a yearly event, is used to raise money for the Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade school's Heritage Fund. Contributions will be put back into the school for a wide variety of purposes.

The education that a child receives will carry them throughout their life. It influences what they believe, the kind of person they will become and will have an impact on their children's futures. Back Creek Christian Academy understands this and strives to educate children not only mentally and physically, but spiritually. However, the effort to provide the best education does not come without a price and to be a successful educational facility the academy relies on financial support from family and friends in the community.

A large part of that money is earned through the academy's annual BobCat Blast. This year's theme is Angry Birds and characters from the popular game will be encouraging students to approach family and friends and ask them to pledge their support in the week and a half leading up to the event. As a reward, the students earn gold coins which can be used at the BobCat Blast carnival.

Last year, the BobCat Blast raised $29,000 for the Annual Fund which may be used for the following purposes:

• Document readers for instructional classroom use
• 8th grade lap top lab
• Activity bus
• Tuition assistance for eligible families

On the day of the BobCat Blast, children play games, eat snow cones, and explore bounce houses at the carnival. In the afternoon, the big event is the lap race. Children from the Transitional Kindergarten up to the 6th Grade participate in running laps in an effort to raise the amount of money that supporters have pledged. Each lap increases the amount of money that a supporter pays.

In addition, people can also make private donations to the Annual Fund. Private donations to BCCA qualify for cooperate matching gifts programs.
