Baja California Language College Prepares for 7000th Student
South-of-the-Border Spanish Immersion School Prepares to Celebrate Enrollment Milestone in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
Online, September 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico - After opening it's doors to one single student in June 1997, the Baja California Language College is scheduled to celebrate it's 7000th Spanish immersion student before the end of 2010.
"We set some pretty modest goals back at the beginning and have had a see-saw ride ever since," commented college president Keith Rolle. "Our staff has always been ready to handle times with overflow attendance and to persevere when the attendance was down."
Over the past 13 years the Baja California Language College as cemented itself as a preferred Latin American destination for those wanting to learn Spanish for self-enrichment as well as those needing Spanish for specific career paths.
The student body has been diverse. "Students have come from all 50 US states, 5 Canadian provinces and 29 foreign countries. We've had students as young as 5 years old and as old as 86," Rolle continued. "From an assembly line worker to a Rhodes Scholar; we've seen them all."
Asked how they planned to commemorate the 7000th student enrolled in the program, Rolle winked and said with a wry smile, "A small fiesta might be in order."
