This new version adds a programming library in the Java platform to help third-party applications create professional quality barcodes.

The Java library also provides capabilities to generate check characters, add barcode Human Readable Text and validate input data to meet various industry specifications. It supports the Java Development Kit 1.6 (and onwards) and works out-of-the-box with Integrated Development Environments such as Netbeans and Eclipse.
