Barrett Jackson Celebrity Amy Assiter Releases Country Music Project to Benefit Charity

International Champion Auctioneer and Barrett Jackson Celebrity Amy Assiter Releases her Country Music Debut Project on the Rutledge Records Label in Scottsdale, AZ during the 41st Annual Barrett Jackson Collector Car Event to Benefit Charity

International Auctioneer Champion and Barrett Jackson Celeb, Amy Assiter will release her debut Country Music project titled "My Name Is Amy" on the Rutledge Record label on January 16, 2012 in Scottsdale, AZ at the Westworld Complex where Barrett Jackson will conduct its 41st Collector Car Event. The Oklahoma native and Canyon, TX resident is dedicating the proceeds from music sales to her foundation, Mission: Freedom's Children, a charity established to help the children of military families. Barrett Jackson is an exclusive sponsor for Assiter.

The 13 song collection includes 3 songs co-written by Assiter. "This project is the result of a 15 month process of song selection, songwriting and recording to produce a biographical country project for Amy Assiter", said Rutledge Record label head and producer of "My Name is Amy", Jeff "Ding" Stansberry. "I'm excited about Amy's future as a singer, songwriter and performer. She has gained a huge fan base just for being the down-to-earth talent and person she is. What better place to release her debut country project than the venue where Amy Assiter has gained so much notoriety, Barrett Jackson?"

Assiter roots and heritage are exposed in the lyrics of the songs on the LP. From the self-penned and autobiographical lead off song, "Mama Time" to the title track, "My Name is Amy" which reveals some her core beliefs, Stansberry insists that a person can sit down and listen to this project and get a pretty good idea of 'what makes Amy tick'. There is even a song titled, "Cowboys and Indians" that delves into Amy's family tree from her father's Chickasaw Native American lineage to her mother's side of the family stacked with Texas Ranger law men. Included in the project is Assiter's rendition of "'The Star Spangled Banner" which she sings at the opening of each Barrett Jackson event.

Plans are in development for Assiter to begin touring later this year and a series of simulcast "Web-Concerts" are in the initial planning stages.
